Estes Park Resort is a fan favorite. A waterfront hotel, overlooking Lake Estes. Rooms vary from lakefront and garden views, with one or two beds. You can also stay at their sister property, Mountain Village Cabins. Which are luxury cabins on Lake Estes. Most cabins are 1,577 square feet and two stories, making it perfect for a family getaway. Full kitchens and a dining room are available for hosting family dinners. Lounge in the relaxing jacuzzi that sits on the exterior patio. Invite your friends and have a summer BBQ on the gas BBQ grill. As they like to say “Escape To The Rocky Mountains With Us!”

The Stanley Hotel

Being one of the more historic lodging options is the Stanley Hotel. Offering four different options for each kind of traveler. The hotel is infamous after Stephen King stayed one night in the 1970s. Eventually in inspiring his first hardcover bestseller, The Shining. If you are looking for a spooky time, you can stay in the main building. Rooms are decorated in classic style furnishing and are known for their paranormal activity. The main building is known to attract ghost hunters to the area. You can request a “Spirited” room that has high reports of paranormal activity. One is even called the Stephen King Suite 217.

They understand if being terrified is not your idea of a relaxing weekend. Stanley Hotel offers three other kinds of lodging options. The Boutique Rooms are at the lodge at The Stanley. This room type is recommended for a romantic weekend, ideal for couples. A more spacious option would be staying at The Residence At The Stanley Hotel. Offering spacious homes while still getting the benefit of the Stanley Hotel amenities. Enjoy the stunning view of Long’s Peak & Estes Valley. Ranging from one-bedroom to four-bedroom, depending on the size of your party. Modern rooms are now an option as well at Aspire, a separate building located at the hotel. Aspire offers apartment-like accommodations and is ideal for extended stays. Features 40 brand-new rooms with panoramic views of the Rocky Mountains. The property offers restaurants, a whiskey bar, and a sweet shop for all guests of the hotel. 

If you are short on time or staying somewhere else, you can still visit the Stanley Hotel. Tickets for day tours are available, for either the day or night. Guides will walk you around the property and explain the history behind it. 

Historic Crag’s Lodge by Diamond Resorts

Diamond Resorts is a timeshare company that offers short-term rentals for your vacation. Most of their resorts offer very spacious rooms. Complete with living rooms, dining areas, kitchens, and in-room laundry. Historic Crags Lodge is on the north side of Prospect Mountain. Which is about three miles from Rocky Mountain National Park. The property offers an outdoor pool and hot tub. Ideal for both summer and winter vacations. Studios and one or two-bedroom rooms are offered here. It is the perfect option for a mountain getaway,  ideal for visiting Rocky Mountain National Park. 

River Stone Bear & Paw

Hosted & owned by Estes Park locals, Brian and Cyndi Lynch. River Stone Bear & Paw is an Estes Park Gem. Located two miles from downtown and two miles from Rocky Mountain National Park. In the summer months, free shuttles are offered to run you back and forth to downtown Estes Park. A great place to stay when Estes Park has its summer and fall festivals. The property offers one and two-bedroom condo-style units. Equipped with a kitchen, washer and dryer, and your very own gas grill. Fishing, horseback riding and water sports are just some activities to enjoy nearby. 

Pine Haven Resort

This 14-acre mountain resort features thirteen themed cabins. Spend your day fishing on the four thousand feet Fall River. The property offers a ten-mile private hiking trail that just steps away from your cabin. A perk in the crowded summer hiking months. If you’re lucky, you can also spot some wildlife. Including the town famous Moose and Elk. If you are a sports lover Pickleball, Basketball, Horseshoes, and Shuffleboard are offered here. There is a playground as well for families visiting here. Ideal resort for outdoor enthusiasts and families. 

The Ridgeline Hotel-Estes Park, Ascend Hotel Collection

Located a few minutes from downtown Estes Park is Ridgeline Hotel. A unique hotel that has its own restaurant and bar on property, Latitude 105 Alehouse. Known for their Yappy Hour which is held in late August. Food and drink specials are held in the Aspen Courtyard for both humans and doggos. From 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, August 23rd to August 26th. Some items for your pup include Puppy Patties, Yardbird & Rice, and a Doggie Sundae. Grab your furry friend and cold ale, while snacking on their specialty pizzas. 

Ridgeline is ideal for dog lovers everywhere. Offering pet-friendly accommodations, up to two dogs per room. There are 147 guestrooms that have recently been updated or remodeled. One or two-bedroom suites are available, some including a fireplace. The hotel offers activities including a heated indoor swimming pool that has a projection screen. Movies are shown to provide a swim-in movie experience. Latitude 105 also offers the NFL Sunday Ticket during football seasons, for guests not wanting to miss the big game. Silver Moon Inn 

Silver Moon Inn is a family-operated inn located in downtown Estes Park. Perfect for guests who want the option to walk downtown for dining and shopping. Sitting along the river, this inn offers one to three-bedroom suites. A complimentary continental breakfast is available in the mornings. If you are looking to fuel up before your visit to Rocky Mountain National Park.

In the evening’s S’More making is a popular activity. During the winter months, complimentary snowshoes are offered to guests as well.
