Indigenous Vendor Market & Workshops: January 13 & 14, 2024

A jubilant homage to Indigenous heritage, embracing art, music, language, oral traditions, and an array of cultural treasures.

Join us for a vibrant celebration of Indigenous heritage at the Estes Park First Peoples Festival, happening indoors at the Estes Park Events Complex from Saturday, January 13 through Sunday, January 14, 2024.

Step into a world rich with Indigenous culture, where each moment resonates with artistry, music, language, and the depth of oral traditions. Explore a diverse array of cultural vendors representing numerous tribal affiliations from across the nation. Immerse yourself in the rhythms of live music performances, traditional dances, soulful singing, and captivating drumming that will transport you through the essence of Indigenous traditions.

Delve deeper into the profound connection between the Indigenous communities and the Estes Valley and Rocky Mountain National Park. Engage in cultural demonstrations, enriching workshops, and enlightening discussions that reveal the intricate threads of heritage woven into this breathtaking landscape.

Discover treasures from tribes far and wide as you browse through a marketplace boasting Traditional Acoma Pottery, Iroquois Beadwork and Quillwork, Navajo Jewelry, Birchbark Work, Caribou Antler Art, Ledger Art, Sand Drawings, Handmade Flutes, Handmade Drums, Wood Carvings, Sweet Grass, Sculptures, Ribbon Skirts, and an assortment of captivating artifacts.

In partnership with Nico Strange Owl, a revered member of the Northern Cheyenne Tribe of Montana, we’ve curated an experience that reflects over four decades of dedication to Indigenous art and artists. As the proprietor of Eagle Plume’s, a historic trading post nestled at the base of Long’s Peak near Allenspark, Colorado, Nico has cultivated expertise in beadwork, appraisal, and consultancy of Native art. Her lineage ties back to Sand Creek Massacre survivors, grounding her deeply in the heritage of Colorado.

Join us for an unforgettable weekend where traditions come alive, stories echo through time, and the spirit of Indigenous culture thrives in the heart of Estes Park.
