Estes Park Health Home Health and Hospice continues to serve local patients

Estes Park Health is committed to ensuring that Home Health and Hospice services remain in the Estes community perpetually, and we’re happy to present several of our stories during Home Health and Hospice Month.

My name is Kathleen, and I am one of the faces of our local Estes Park Home Health and Hospice team. I became a nurse later in life and after working in the hospital on the MedSurg unit for four years I was able to move to my dream job with Home Health and Hospice. We are a dedicated team of individuals providing care to community members in the comfort of their own home. Skill sets range from medication management with weekly nursing assessments for those qualified to receive such care, to complicated wound care for home bound residents. My personal passion is working with Hospice patients and their families in the intimate setting of the patients’ home. Our dedicated team consists of a Medical Social Worker, Chaplain, Home Health Aides, Nurses, Doctors, and Hospice specific Pharmacists to help navigate difficult end of life issues. Our goal is to help create the most comfortable scenario possible for both patient and family so that people can have the option of dying in the comfort of their own home.

As a long time, resident of Estes Park, this work has been rewarding on so many levels. It is giving back in the most significant and personal way to the community whose support and encouragement have allowed me to focus on this heart-centered career.

We truly appreciate the opportunity to serve, and we look forward to your continued support.
